Job Description

The Chartered Accountant Assistant will work closely with the Chartered Accountant (CA) to provide comprehensive accounting support to clients. The role involves assisting in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain the CA’s schedule, including appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
  • Coordinate and confirm meetings, both internal and external, ensuring efficient use of time.
  • Screen and manage Clients phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication on behalf of the CA.
  • Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence and documents as needed.
  • Prepare Minutes of the meeting agendas, materials, and presentations as required.
  • Take and distribute minutes or notes during and after meetings.
  • Organize all files, and maintain documents, reports, and confidential information.
  • Ensure easy access to critical information for the CA.
  • Process expense reports and reimbursements in a timely manner by team.
  • Assist the CA in prioritizing tasks and managing workload to meet deadlines.
  • Provide reminders and follow-ups on important tasks and deadlines.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Final report of accounting records using appropriate accounting software and tools.
  • Coordinate with team and collect Record financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Provide support during audit engagements, including preparing audit schedules and gathering necessary documentation.
  • Communicate with clients to gather financial information and provide updates on the progress of accounting projects and payments details.
  • Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile discrepancies in financial reports and records.
  • Maintain organized and complete documentation of all financial transactions and reports.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
